"More years than I care to count have passed, and while I’m back in the place I grew up, I’m in a completely different space - mentally, emotionally and physically.
My commitment to wellness, for myself and others, has never mattered more, especially as I look to support the community in the place that shaped me.
I’ve always loved John Lennon’s words: 'Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans'. That quote has followed me through twists and turns, reminding me that change isn’t just inevitable - it’s an invitation.
It’s never too late to pivot, to grow, to follow a new path. With a little determination, the support of close friends, and the guidance of some truly inspiring teachers, I’m stepping into this next chapter with open arms.

My Mission
My mission at Ember & Om is to introduce transformative wellness experiences to Mirfield and surrounding areas. Through Original Hot Yoga, Inferno Hot Pilates, and other holistic practices, cultivating both physical and mental resilience while fostering a vibrant, supportive community. By sharing my passion and empowering people to 'Burn. Breathe. Be' we will build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness together.

What's on Offer
Inclusive & Welcoming Environment
At Ember & Om, we are committed to providing a welcoming environment for everyone embarking on their personal wellness journey. Our studio classes are deliberately kept small, accommodating between four and twelve people, which helps to ensure a friendly and safe environment. This intimate setting ensures that each person feels supported, comfortable, and able to connect with others.
We believe that hot yoga should be accessible to all, regardless of your level of experience, current fitness or body type. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have an established practice, you are welcome to join us and experience the benefits of yoga within a supportive community.
We also offer a small number of 'community mats' to make hot yoga accessible to those currently out of work, but seeking employment, who may otherwise face financial barriers to access.
Guided, Beginner-Friendly Classes
Our classes are designed with beginners in mind. Each session follows a consistent structure based on guided dialogue, allowing you to quickly become familiar with the sequence and confidently track your progress. There are a few options of classes so you can find something that suits your style. No matter which class you join, you'll be well supported, and adjustments are always available to meet your needs.
Personalised Sessions and Group Bookings
For those seeking a more tailored experience, we offer personalised one-to-one sessions during the day that focus on your unique needs and goals. Additionally, group bookings are available upon request, providing the opportunity to practise alongside friends, family, or colleagues in a supportive and energising environment.
Healthier Heat: Why We Use Infrared
One of the distinctive aspects of our classes at Ember & Om is the use of infrared heating. Unlike traditional heating systems, which work by circulating air - and consequently, dust and germs - infrared heat warms the body directly. This creates a studio atmosphere that is not only cleaner but also noticeably more comfortable for all participants.

Giving Back: Ember & Om Access
Reset. Rebuild. Return.
​
Ember & Om Access is a supported wellbeing and work readiness programme designed for individuals looking to return to the workplace, as well as those navigating periods of personal challenge and needing space to reset and rebuild.
​
Combining over 25 years’ experience in Recruitment and Talent Acquisition with wellbeing practices, Ember & Om Access supports individuals to reduce stress, strengthen mental and physical resilience, and build confidence so they feel ready to return to the workplace - and to life more broadly.​
​
For some, that journey is about actively seeking and returning to work. For others, it’s about navigating the pressures of supporting loved ones, including parents caring for children through challenging experiences such as eating disorders, like anorexia nervosa.
​
At its core, this programme creates space - to pause, to focus on yourself, and to take small, supported steps forward.
​
How the Programme Works

The programme runs over 6 weeks, offering a balance of wellbeing support and practical employability guidance. Participants gain and can access:

A number of 'community mats' are reserved within our Ember & Om timetable to enable one hot Yoga or hot Pilates class per week per participant (60 or 90 minutes) at no charge. Each class includes:​​

A full body workout and closing relaxation (savasana)

Depending on participants, the potentially opportunity to network with other peers that are going through the same experience.

Access & Commitment

Ember & Om Access is a supported programme designed for individuals who are actively looking to return to work, or those navigating personal circumstances where additional wellbeing support is needed.
​
To ensure the programme remains focused and impactful:

Participants returning to work must be actively seeking employment or preparing to return

Participants should be from the local community - i.e. reside within Kirklees, Calderdale or Spen Valley
-
Spaces must be booked in advance and attended regularly
-
Due to limited availability, missed sessions may result in the space being offered to someone else
Participants are encouraged to engage with both the wellbeing sessions and any additional support available, to gain the most from the programme. Other wellbeing treatments maybe recommended and accessible depending on availability.

This programme is designed to support those who are ready to take a step forward. As Ember & Om is a small boutique studio and wellness business, spaces will be limited and on a first come first served basis. ​
